Zapata"s were hurt by interim president, took their land. Zapatistas are intolerant of new president (left) Counter revolutions from the right (bernardo reyes and felix diaz) Felix diaz is the nephew of diaz. Reyes is not gone yet, runs against madero. Supporters: middle class people like him, some people who want any change from diaz. Reyes and diaz both try to revolt -> puts them in military prison. The military has turned against madero, so reyes gets their support and start a riot. Painting the picture of the mexican massacre: Madero is on the other side of the city than reyes, goes to the military school, gives them a passionate speech to get himself protected, the cadets march w/ Madero from the other side of the city. Middle of the day on a tuesday, they are just going to work. Madero becomes a carnival coming down the street.
