Spontaneous: miscarriage pregnancy termination without action by woman or another. First sign vaginal bleeding, spotting (mild cramping) No cervical dilation, no passage of tissue distinguishing factor. Avoid sex - count pads / quantify blood loss. Diagnosis: follow with vaginal ultrasound /blood hcg and progesterone levels. Rupture of membranes and cervical dilation distinguishing factor.
