Primary punishers - directly unsatisfying e. g. touching a hot stove, intense cold. Secondary reinforcers - associated with a bad outcome e. g. speeding ticket. Positive reinforcement adds what we like to increase a behavior. Positive punishment adds what we don"t like to decrease a behavior. Negative reinforcement takes away what we don"t like to increase a behavior.
