This was not in style when they began: negatives. Based entirely off of retrospection, there were no children in their study. There are a lot of ways to interpret the findings, but they always interpreted things to fit with their theory. Trait approaches: dimensions in personality space, traits are relatively stable in time, traits are relatively stable over situations, traits are continuous and combinations are unique. Organize and control behavior across a wide range of situations.
