Test the vocal or visual recognition of chicks by chicken: put a clear bowl over chicks to test visual, separate chick by wall to test vocal communication. They observe configuration of landmarks to find food. Robotics: robotic cheetah invented by mit scientists, robo-squirrel is used to see what kind of movement will piss of a rattlesnake, sage grouse fem-bot is used to study how males flaunt their shit. Radio-frequency identification (rdif: enables individual identification after implantation of subcutaneous, radio-controlled rover with penguin chick, avoids disrupting penguins.
