Greater risk for hearing loss, strokes, and alzheimer"s, these can all cause communication disorders. Speech language pathologist: professionals involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders that involve speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Audiologist: professionals involved in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders that involve hearing and balance disorders.
