Histogram (frequency) for exam data (exam score (c2): how many classes to use? n=25. Histogram with 7 classes: range= longest observation-smallest observation. 20 90 (if you make it wider, it gives you 70 and is divisible by 7, makes it easier) Class frequency = # of observations in the class. Can see highest frequency lies within 70-80. Observations on the boundary, choose to go to left or right but don"t count it twice. How to check if right: sum of frequencies must come to 25 (n) Shape of histogram (4 characteristics): symmetry, skewness.
