Forced by structure in dangerous job by lack of opportunities. No: structural violence of a dirty job that produces shiny gold, structural violence: systematic ways in which political, economic & social structures harm or disadvantage individuals based on position in society based on class, race, ethnicity, gender, etc. Those who become miners have more obstacles than opportunities for a better life.
