Some people are denied access to basic resources. There must be ways of managing conflict and persuading individuals to conform to social norms. There is a difference in power between groups. We classify people into different groups based on aspects of their physical appearance. In systems of social stratification, these groups may have different levels of power and status. And who are ranked high and low in relation to each other. A social class has a script for how to behave, look, etc. Unequal meeting of two formerly separate groups through colonization, slavery, and other large-group movements: cultural construction.
