1941 us declared war against japan and germany. Each comobatants said racists things about the other side. Japanese americans presented as hidden threat to us. Nazi government incarcererated large number of jewish ppl. Many fully expected not to make it out of the camps. White superemancy in american law was very prominent. Fascists saw american law at this time and copied these habits. Black ppl and white ppl were segregated during the army. Black ppl and white ppl risked their life for eachother. Reason behiond segregation: blacks and white could not trust eachtoehr. Not true as evidenced by the war and how they helped eachother survive. Entry of women and ppl of color into the mainstream labor force. When men go off to war, huge labor shortange, and women have to go into the work force, and women go from being excluded from the labor union to being the central role of the labor cycle.
