Send a messenger to hastings to test him; to see if he will accept richard as king. 73-74: messenger is sent, its not an easy manner (richard) Hasting: he for his father sake (hasting is not going to want to do anything against the prince) Rise and fall of lord hasting: released from tower, secure at council, executed.
