Print capitalism: the focus in this is on the circulation of newspapers. Argues that communities are not inherent stable identities. Community is a process that is always reinventing itself. An event might affect a large group and then they are bound by having that shared experience. Sense of space in the sections that newspapers are divided into. The circulation of media creates a sense of community.
