Element of peer pressure from the boys "if you use the ladder you"re a coward pig" Andrei - character in the film, also name of director. Establishing landscape shots of the body of water. Music: ominous soundtrack (nondiegetic sound only what the audience can hear, safely assuming the characters cannot) Boy is terrified but refuses to climb down because he will be labeled a coward and pig for not jumping. Mother comes to comfort young boy on top of platform where he is shaking with fear. Boys are confronting the youngest for not jumping and having his mother come and save him. Two boys end up fighting "mom"ll kill you" -- brothers. Upbeat/urban soundtrack beats begin to play during chase scene
