Degrees to which story satisfies/need to find significance in pattern of events influences the present and plans for the future. Culture : imaginative universe, composed of webs (systems) of felt meaning in which we are suspended + changing things into symbolic forms to understand people don"t have inborn knowledge to interact w/ environments successfully genetic deficiency. Displays world while also being operationally effective. Works through feedback loops (vocations, edu. systems, family/friends) networks of info, both cognitive and emotional, to be socially modified, transmitted, and adapted in time w/ changing circumstances.
