Document Summary

We can"t talk about nature without talking about humans and culture. Human life impacts the world"s geographic development. "human footprint" - imprint of human life has produced a threat to the environment sustainability of the planet. Garbage, waste that can"t be disposed or recycled. Ex: new york: 15000 tons of garbage everyday the amount of waste we put in our household is tremendous. Carbon dioxide released from fuels and factories. Ex: amazon forest in brazil - began to see urbanization. The world"s supply of energy sources and raw materials is limited but demand for them continues to grow. Ecology or ecological questions concern not only how best to technically interface with the natural environment and contain the already existing damage to it but also concern our basic ways of life. Humans and nature both contribute to the social-ecological system. The goods, services, energy and resources that are used, primarily bought in our societies.
