Indentured servants become lifeblood of the colonies but this slowly begins to wane and the growing dependence on slave labor: race based slave labor, late 17th cent. f. England become a model for the rest of england b. Life in massachusets colony: not for religious freedom but freedom to pracice their religion, massachusets was built upon very strict religious principles, dabbling in theocracy (try to make as godly of a place as possible) Strict rules/code of conduct c: emigraion as communiies not as individuals, demographically diferent society, aren"t moving as individuals. Lead his followers here and set up as godly of a society as they can. 1: take new and old testaments and govern using these books.
