Liberal feminist movement prioritized gender similarities across class, and didn"t focus much on class differences vs. socialist feminism emphasizing class similarities, didn"t focus on gender similarities: made it difficult for a singe women"s movement to unite women. Like liberal feminism, also has achievements and contradictions based in contradictions of gender system where system is produces, as well as gender and class where it comes together in contradictory ways. Chronological arc: 1820s-1920s: culminates in russian revolution. Liberal feminism begins during french revolution and culminates after wwi when granted suffrage. After french revolution: going back to absolutist regimes after napoleon"s defeat, anyone concerned with women"s issues going to be on the far left, outside of mainstream thought, socialists on the left.
