Early 2. 6 million - 250,000 yrs ago. 40,000 yrs ago -- upper paleolithic revolution. Tools begin to start improving rapidly all over the world. Begin using bone and antler as raw material for producing tools. Bone and antler also used for ritual. Humans begin decorating themselves (visible in grave sites) Human and animal figurines and art become a thing. Where they eat, butcher, sleep, and go to the bathroom become separate locations. Flutes (first known one made ~30,000 yrs ago) Actually really good, accurate depictions of animals (cave art) Hand prints made by blowing pigment over the hands on the wall.
