Feel migrating pain because appendix used to be at belly button, but gets pushed away. But brain doesn"t know so pain in appendix still feels like it is at belly button. But, the wall of the quadrant also gets infected, and feels pain there. Somatosensory map: places where fingers used to have are deprived of input, and so the nearby areas can crosswire to the deprived areas, different areas of brain deal with different sensations (heat/cold/vibration). Remapping may occur with these parts of the brain as well. Could describe pathway of water going down cheek on the phantom limb. Foot fetish cuz next to genitals, crosswiring in normal people too, so foot fetishes exist: one patient has face anesthesized, cant feel anything when touch face. But if you touch her hand, she can feel sensation on her face: gaze tinnitus, hear ringing when looking around.
