4 tests, including final; final is not cumulative, just the fourth exam; 30-35 mc, and have to omit 10% of your answers; 5 short-answer extra credit. Animals have to all be multi-cellular; intra- and extracellular; animals are multi- cellular, eukaryotic, and heterotrophic, by definition: porifera (sponges) don"t have true tissues, eumetazoans (most animals, including mammals) have true tissues, nervous, muscle, epithelial, connective. Some connective tissue secretes ecm: bone collagen, protein, minerals, cartilage. Some other connective tissue: adipose tissue - adipocytes, blood blood plasma and blood cells. Have to regulate composition, temperature, pressure: maintain relatively stable and constant conditions.
