Child made his own decision after his father told him otherwise. Wasn"t just a revolution, it was a revolution for who should rule at home . Many who enlisted her under 16 years old. The country is going to depend on common man to survive (patriotism, women more important) In the south men between 20-24 1 out of every 5 died. death from disease and wounds was greater then the 20th century really to encourage patriotism. No child labor laws at this time, schools continued but many kids were needed for farm.
