Soutache: narrow flat decorative braid or band stitched to the textile surface with small whip stitches, scroll pattern. Ribbonwork: decorative design largely composed of ribbons tied in knots and festooned, often in floral motif and patterns. Fringe: ornamental border of threads left loose or formed into tassels or twists, used to edge clothing or textiles. Counted thread work/ drawn thread work: removing threads from the warp or filling direction, remaining threads are bound together with thread to create different patterns. Faggoting: attaches two areas of fabric, areas connected with thread. Beadwork: attaching beads by sewing individually or by threading multiple beads onto a beading needle and stitching to area, can be glass plastic, stone, pearl, crystal: sequins & paillettes- type of beadwork, disc shaped beads.
