The independent and abstract noun which describes the works and practices of intellectual and especially artistic activity (music, literature, painting, and sculpture, theatre and film) An insitence that the cultural is political involving relations of power and conflicting interest between different groups. It depends upon a view of culture as plural as socially produced and struggled over. Role of space and place in the construction of meanings and identites. Where you are from can have an influence.
