People all over have the same challenges to overcome in order to live and develop well. Every child born in u. s. will have greater effect on the environment than 12 children born in a developing nation. 11-13% of world doesn"t have access to clean water. In developing countries 80% of illnesses are linked to poor water and sanitation conditions. Not all periods of life are equal regarding change. Different rates/foci of development in different eras. By definition, functional significance takes time to get established. We may see or set goals for ourselves or others then become frustrated with the time required to reach the goal: patience. Human beings are developing systems in the context of other developing systems. Changing one component of the system it has an effect on all parts of the system.
