Pattern perceptions: subcortical wiring for, contrast- between light and dark, changing conditions, contour- curves, movement- attracts attention of the individual, faceness - we are preset to see a face. Audition (the second sense to go: frequency- pitch , range 20-20,000 hz, middle c 262, most sensitive 100-4000 hz, human speech 200- 2000 hz, amplitude- height of the sound weight, height or intensity of the noise.
