Fill in the blank: families are important, complex, stable, related, loving, community, together, diverse, one-of-a-kind, supportive. What a family is : group of people who are supportive and caring of other members - not necessarily blood-related. Tv show portrays an accurate picture modern family. Yes, when i was little i pictured a family as mom, dad, children but now with media i imagine kids, step-kids, half siblings, etc. What is implied in the traditional concept of family. Family: two or more persons who are related by blood, marriage or adoption. Household: all persons who occupy dwelling such as house. can be one or more people. Informal definition: group of people who love and care for each other- legal issues raise this. Traditional 2 parent family in which the husband is employed outside of the home and the wife takes care of the children. Evidence is legal cases against working moms.
