Scientific theories and hypotheses: a lot of us use theory in everyday language, in a formal way, but that is not used for science. A theory is the explanation, and it then leads to a hypothesis which is more specific and you analyze it more critically. Gravity is law, and one step down is a theo(cid:396)(cid:455), the(cid:396)e"s still a lot (cid:449)e do(cid:374)"t u(cid:374)de(cid:396)sta(cid:374)d: theory is a very high level of understanding, and as you get more evidence then theories are re-worked.
