We miss contect & outcomewhat was the situation, was this intended, Some people don"t consider or recognize actions as abuse. Someone is reporting on what someone else did. Helpful to have corroborating data (backs up survey) Quantitative methods prevail as it lends itself to incidence and prevalence data. White women have been researched the most. One universal survey wont work for every demographic. Look at the composition of the sample and interpretation of findings. Assumption: reliability & validity have been established for instrumental used in the field of ipv. Deals with appropriate measurement; how well a mesure does it supposed to do. Researchers definitions are more explicit and in depth. Children are the most vulnerable in society.
