Qualitative: measuring quality, how people feel. Mixed methods: both quantitative and qualitative. Collect raw data from observations: organize it into spreadsheets, you can summarize your findings first to make it easier to organize. This is critical to handling your data set: unorganized data can make things very hard to decipher. Organize things in such a way that you and others can understand what information you have gathered: this is especially important when working in teams. If the data is questionable: try to clarify what it means, do not use questionable data, or repeat your observations if the error cannot be resolved. Take raw data from lab books and put it into spreadsheets. You can organize your data depending on what you want on excel: step 1: select the data field and descriptors, step 2: use the sort and filter options to format the sheet the way you want.
