Sexual orientation- an enduring pattern of emotional, romantic, and/or sexual attraction(s) to men, women, or both sexes. Sexual orientation vs sexual preference: sexual orientation- genders you"re attracted to, sexual preference- types of sexual behavior, stimulation and gratification you enjoy. Culture partially determines what behaviors are considered part of sexual orientation. Diversity in sexual orientations and sexual behaviors is common in many animals. Pansexual- a person who experiences sexual, romantic, phys, and/or spiritual attraction for members of all gender identities/expressions. Asexual- a person who generally doesn"t experience sexual attraction (or very little) to any group of ppl: distinct from celibacy, or abstention from sexual activity. Demisexual- a person who feels sexual attraction only to ppl w/whom they have an emotional bond. Heterosexual- a person who"s attracted to someone w/the other gender than they have. Homosexual- a person who"s attracted to someone w/the same gender (or, literally, biological sex) Homosexual is a term that some members of the lgbtq+ community find offensive.
