As a discipline, anthropology is both scienti c and humanistic. The trademark methods of anthropology: participantt observation and comparative analysis. The cultural and biological aspects as well as the living environments of humans are best understood as a whole. Anthropologists are also motivated by skepticism against unsubstantiated generalization about human beings. The holistic approach as well as the eldwork (or participant observation) and comparative analysis methods provide effective means to expose and invalidate false ideas about humans. Helping to create a more livable social environment for all of us sharing this planet and our offspring. Cultural anthropology: the study of human culture and society. Ethnography: description and analysis of a particular society or culture based on data collected by means of participant observation.
