Review the definition of chondromalacia patellae, which is shown on page 237 in the related clinical terms box. Intervertebral disc: band-like ligaments that strengthen joint, capsular = thickened band in joint capsule itself, glenohumeral ligaments, extracapsular = outside the joint capsule, medial and lateral collateral ligaments.
