The identification of birth cohorts helps explain these household patterns. Birth cohort: refers to a population born in a particular year period. Cohorts may add numbers because of immigrants coming into the states. A sheet giving an idea on an aging cohort. A relatively big population baby boom want healthcare and such. Male on the left an female on the right. Aging the millennial (generation y) or baby boomlet generation (1981-1997). This shows the possible age of someone grown in the gen y age. A majority of the students in this university was born in this generation. Another table showing the population total of each generation. The highlights show the most people in a certain category. The most baby boomers in the us population, 24. 7%. 9. 9% from the silent gen and greatest gen (before 1928 to 1945). Generation x (1965 to 1980) is 19. 1%. and millennials (1981 to: is 23. 4%.
