Has been adapted by many disciplines, including housing. According to the original framework, there are five levels of needs that humans are trying to satisfy. Maslow"s (1943, 1954) hierarchy of needs is a motivational theory in psychology comprising a five tier model of human needs, often depicted as hierarchical levels within a pyramid. His subjects: maslow studied what he called exemplary people such as albert einstein, jane addams, Maslow wanted to understand what motivates people. He believed that people possess a set of motivation systems unrelated to rewards or unconscious desires. Rewards: reward is the attractive and motivational property of a stimulus that induces behavior. The first four levels are considered deficiency needs: Not having enough of a specified quality or ingredient. The deficiency needs are said to motivate people when they are unmet. Also, the need to fulfil such needs will become stronger the longer the duration they are denied.
