Consumer interest mission includes: research, advocacy, education and service. It is challenging to decide what is in the consumer interest and which public policies should advance. There are so many policies that is hard to determine which ones are most important. Age differences and other demographics make it difficult to centralize policies. Elizabeth warren introduced a student loan refinancing proposal which needed 60 votes to overcome the republican filibuster but lost 38-56 votes. This is really kennedy"s list of consumer protection.
