Invade england 1779: use most of their resources for this. Proclamation issued by british lord: any indian that signs up for the british military is free. The slaves leaving america entailed a m loss. The americans value equality, but yet the british are offering slaves freedom-- those who are seen by americans as an internal threat. War ends on a global scale with the treaty of paris: english lose a lot of fundamental pieces of land and water that take away a lot of their control. States come together with the articles of confederation. All states must come up with their own laws to replace british law. Consists of: state constitutions, rule of law, legislative and judiciary branches. Articles of confederation: 12 states ratify by 1779, md signs in 1781, making it legal, 13 articles. Looking to be able to prosecute a war. Congress gets 2-8 reps from each state, and each state gets 1 vote.
