This course studies leadership theories and their application to the development of leadership skills. Students develop a personal philosophy of leadership, learn and apply leadership theories to enhance leadership skills, and record their leadership growth through a series of surveys, readings, and written assignments. Topics concerning diversity, ethics, and leadership/followership roles are explored. Prerequisite: completion of the campus composition i requirement or consent of instructor. (3 credit hours) Mondays & wednesdays 2:20-3:00pm (after class) or by appointment (please email to schedule another time) Mondays & wednesdays 1:00-2:20pm room 7 weston hall. Aged 260 is a leadership education course where students study fundamental theories of leadership development. Students learn theories and models of the leadership process to synthesize a personal philosophy of leadership. Students are also challenged to think about a world view of leadership with consideration given to diverse individuals, groups, and communities.
