Document Summary

Dr. jones" people, things, memory and human-machine communication , discusses the many problems the internet and new technology have brought to human communication. Dr. jones conducted his research by analyzing other works, commenting and elaborating on them. The first visible problem he discusses in our post-internet world is the human memory. All our technological devices do more than we are even aware of; they are constantly tracking our location, sleep patterns etc. We have gotten so accustomed to this that it seems as natural as human-human communication. (p. 3) I to some extent agree with dr. jones and his findings in this article. I do believe that we rely too heavily on human machine communication and as an effect of that human-human communication has severely suffered. However, we have to accept that the world is changing at a fast pace and that we are bound to come up with all these new technologies.
