Document Summary

Plant cells cannot move because of their rigid cell wall. Plants are able to go back to their undifferentiated state. Sepal are green protective leaves on the outside. On the inside, you have the origins that make the sperm and the egg. The stamen has the anterh and filament that makes the sperm. A difference in plants and animals: animals only have male or female while flowers normally make both sex genes. However, there are some plants that only make sperm or eggs. In plants, sperm and eggs are made through meiosis and mitosis. In the stamen, at the beginning of its development, you have one nucleus, a product of meiosis. After mitosis, you will get two haploid nuclei. One of them will then go through mitosis again and you will now have 3 nuclei. Two of them will go off to be sperm and the third one will become a pollen tube nucleus.
