Governors: best political jobs in america (right to reallocate resources) Can work with any existing apparatus, don"t need power change. Control over political parties by deciding the interests represented. Similar to that of long time ago (emperors appointed) Differs from the president in that they have different veto powers: Congress is shaping up to inefficient as ever. Nothing happens on national level, but everything occurring on state level. State passed 2400 bills (some state laws are silly) Alec brings together conservatives and legislatures use it for coming up with bills. State legislators meet little opposition to get into state legislature. In terms of state governors, the state actually has a lot of power regarding which interests to pursue with the budget, etc. while the federal government is not really concerned with state/local laws.
