Imbedded in ventral half midbrain: tegmentum, ventral half of midbrain, dopamine here as well. Important in reward and motivation: red nucleus. Important in movement: lower forebrain, thalamus, biggest part, central chamber, sensory relay, vision, hearing, touch, pain, taste, have their own part of the thalamus.
