Social need to affiliate, share resources, provide protection, procreation. Affiliation is the idea that you have this need/motivation to connect with other people. Those who are more social are more likely to survive because their share their resources, protect each other, and procreate. Hunger, thirst, sex, temperature (need for appropriate body temperature), sleep and rest, activity (need for optimal level of stimulation and arousal), aggression, excretory (need to eliminate bodily waste) Internal state of tension that propels one to a certain activity/behavior to lessen the feeling. A motivation to take actions that are themselves rewarding. A motivation to take actions that are not themselves rewarding, but that lead to reward. The ability to engage in behaviors that are currently unrewarding for greater rewards.
