Five written assignments increase in grade weight percentage: 3 drafts for any of the 5 papers are required. Assignment 1: critique of journal article, find info on canvas. Science- collection of observations, descriptions, and theories. Determinism- cause and effect, causes are there for a reason, effects result from causes. Empiricism- using your senses to observe/measure things; science is not intuitive. Testability- the ability to be tested, test a hypothesis and set up an experiment to support/reject hypothesis. Most important to science as a method . Being able to test questions about the world, because you can use religion to ask questions too.
