Harmony between the image and the voice: lots of work put into the voice acting. Simple text with subtle jokes thrown in. Cat characters usually sneaky and cunning: matroskin. Has a lower class, uneducated accent: not a good soviet character. Like a fairy tale with a grasp of soviet reality: period piece of urban and rural life. Uncle fedor named because he acts like an adult: shows children how to be independent. Mom/dad dynamic: upper middle class, fashionable family, strict and stubborn mom with pushover dad.
