Attends to dynamics of power in social interactions that start from a gender analysis. Takes into account of all people in a field site/community organization and pays particular attention to gender by honing in on status. Men ethnographies: culture, history, everyday life from men"s pov. Women"s: life, politics, and socio cultural institutions are gendered. Informed by a set of overlapping theories that emerged in part from the situated knowledge of women who were/are navigating and resisting oppression. Attends to dynamics of power in social interactions that starts from a gender analysis. Brings together evidence we have, to explain something we observe i. e. evolution. Patriarchy, gender differences, contribution to social justice. Power relations and history (men and women) Way of life for people; social norms and expectation.
