Increased immigration = rapidly rising interracial marriage, less rigid racial categories. Today"s i(cid:373)(cid:373)igra(cid:374)ts ha(cid:448)e (cid:373)ade large strides o(cid:374) eco(cid:374)o(cid:373)ic/social i(cid:374)corporatio(cid:374) some ask if we are finally approaching a post-racial society. As immigrants grow, americans get real anxiety about changes taking place derived from immigrant threat narrative from media and politics. For those fearing immigration, republican party is a natural home: rightward shift for large segment of white america more and more whites seeking to punish immigrants who violate us norms. Immigration set apart from other issues because of its magnitude it is massive, local and long term, also its diversity and the presence of latinos and asians in mass media. Immigrant threat narrative fueled by latinos and immigrants: reliant on welfare, use healthcare and education, fail to pay taxes, crime, etc.
