It was concluded that patients in a vegetative state can hear and process though, access memories, and make motor plans (in the example of imagining to play tennis)! Answering questions about neuroscience using animals: advantages of using animals! Reproduce quickly, can easily follow lifespan, monitor behavior, control, cheaper! Brain states produce observable behaviors: and behaviors can alter brain states! Goal of behavioral neuroscience is to understand this relationship! Three primary approaches: manipulating the body may affect behavior! (manipulating something about the body and measuring something about the behavior)!
