PSYC 101 Lecture Notes - Lecture 23: Albert Bandura, Tinkertoy, Observational Learning
Document Summary
Observational learning: not all learning comes from direct experience, sometimes we watch others and see what happens . The condition the children were exposed to. The sex of the child: the children were tested individually. The bobo doll: stage 2: in the next stage, the child was subjected to "mild aggression arousal". The bobo doll: stage 3: for the final part of the study, the child was taken to the next room where there was a variety of both non-aggressive and aggressive toys. Unlike the last room, the child was told it could play with any of the toys: the child was kept in this room for 20 minutes. Judges observed the child"s behavior through a one-way mirror for 20 minutes. The bobo doll: conclusions: the findings supported bandura"s social learning theory, children, in fact, do learn social behavior such as aggression through watching the behavior of another person. Albert bandura: bobo doll studies, 2 stages of observational learning.
