Life time prevalence over the span of a lifetime, 44% of adult population: substance abuse, anxiety, mood. Anxiety coped with by avoiding the things that make you anxious. Anxiety vs fear > adaptive in moderation. Neuroticism: cognitions > loss of control; threat of assessment.
