Quality must be maintained to sustain tourism demand: built environment. Infrastructure- underground and surface developmental construction: ex: water supply systems, gas line, electrical lines, drainage systems, installations must be adequate. Tourism superstructure- facilities constructed to support visitation/activities: ex: parking lots, parks, marinas, dock facilities, commercial train stations, and restaurants, operating sectors- specific accommodation, activities, etc. to match demand of specific/targeted travelers. Operating sectors questions asked: what type of destination am i? , what types of tourists do i want to attract? . Ex: ecotourism green hotels, sand and sun beach resorts: spirit of hospitality- the attitude of the residents toward visitors.
